Gym Rules
For approved 24/7 members accessing the gym during staffed and unstaffed hours
To keep our gym safe, clean, respectful and community-focused, all 24/7 members must follow the rules below. These rules protect members, staff, equipment and the wider Fitness Matters Jimboomba community.
General Rules

24/7 access is only available to approved members aged 16 years and over.
-
Members under 18 may require parent or guardian approval before 24/7 access is granted.

Your access tag is yours only. Do not share it with anyone.
-
Letting another person into the gym, even if they are a member, is not allowed.
-
Every member must tag in using their own access tag every time they enter.
-
Do not tailgate, hold the door open, prop doors open, or allow unauthorised entry.
-
Tailgating or allowing unauthorised entry may result in immediate suspension or cancellation of your membership.

Members must follow all posted signage and staff instructions at all times.

Dress Code
-
Closed-in/enclosed shoes must be worn at all times on the gym floor. No bare feet, slides, thongs, sandals, Crocs or open-toe footwear.

Appropriate gym clothing must be worn at all times.
-
No shirtless training. Your upper body must remain covered in shared training areas.
-
No training in underwear, swimwear, or clothing that leaves you half-dressed.
-
No excessively revealing clothing or clothing that may make other members uncomfortable.
-
Clothing must be clean, safe to train in, and suitable for a shared fitness environment.
-
Offensive, abusive or inappropriate wording or imagery on clothing is not permitted.

Safety & Security
-
CCTV operates 24/7 and is monitored for member safety and security.
-
In an emergency, contact emergency services immediately on 000.
-
Use emergency exits only in genuine emergencies.
-
Report injuries, hazards, spills, damaged equipment or suspicious behaviour via the app, phone, or to reception during staffed hours as soon as possible.
-
Do not train if you feel unwell, dizzy, injured, impaired or unsafe to exercise.
-
Do not use the facility while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance that may affect your ability to train safely.

No weapons, dangerous items, theft, vandalism or deliberate damage are allowed.
-
Keep phone volume low. No loudspeaker calls.
-
Headphones are recommended for music, calls or videos.

Cleanliness & Hygiene
-
Bring a towel. No towel, no training.
-
Wipe down all equipment after use using the provided spray and wipes.
-
Return all weights, bars, mats and equipment to their proper place after use.
-
Keep personal hygiene standards respectful for a shared training space.
-
Do not leave sweat, rubbish, bottles, clothing or personal items around the gym.
-
Gym bags must be stored away from walkways and training areas.

Respect & Conduct
-
Respect other members, staff and the facility at all times.
-
Aggressive, intimidating, abusive, unsafe or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.
-
Do not harass, stare at, follow, film, photograph or make other members uncomfortable.
-
No filming or photography of other members without their clear permission.
-
No loud, offensive or disruptive behaviour.
-
Do not drop weights, slam equipment or misuse machines.
-
Share equipment fairly during busy periods.

Equipment Use
-
Use equipment safely and responsibly.
-
If you are unsure how to use a machine or piece of equipment, ask staff during staffed hours before using it.

Report damaged, broken or unsafe equipment via the app or at reception.
-
Do not attempt to repair or adjust damaged equipment yourself.
-
No chalk is permitted.
-
No gym bags on the gym floor or in walkways.
-
Do not move equipment into unsafe areas or block access points.

Weight Use Policy
-
No weight dropping is allowed near the BodyFit Pro machine, Infrared Sauna, Reception area, walkways or entry points.
-
All weights must be placed back on the rack after each use. No exceptions.
-
Do not leave loose plates, dumbbells, bars or equipment on the floor.
-
Keep walkways, equipment zones and emergency exits clear at all times.
-
Be mindful of other members training nearby.

Prohibited During Unstaffed Hours
-
No guests are permitted during unstaffed hours.
-
No children are permitted inside the facility during unstaffed hours.
-
No access to the Kids Zone during unstaffed hours.
-
No entry into staff-only areas.
-
No group training, personal training, coaching, filming for commercial use, or business activity is allowed without written approval from Fitness Matters Jimboomba.

Food, Alcohol, Smoking & Pets Policy
-
No food is to be consumed on the gym floor.
-
No alcohol is allowed inside the facility at any time.
-
No smoking or vaping inside the facility at any time.
-
No pets are allowed inside the facility, except registered assistance animals.
-
Water and protein shakes are allowed, but must be kept sealed and off equipment.

Membership, Payments & Refund Policy
-
Membership payments must remain up to date to maintain access to the facility.
-
Failed payments may result in access being suspended until the account is brought up to date.
-
Upfront membership payments, prepaid packages and promotional offers are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by law.
-
Memberships, offers and prepaid services are not transferable to another person unless approved in writing by Fitness Matters Jimboomba.
-
Cancellation, suspension or membership changes must be requested through the approved Fitness Matters Jimboomba process.
-
Any cooling-off period, cancellation terms or payment obligations will follow the membership agreement signed at the time of joining.
Final Reminders
-
Breach of any 24/7 gym access rules may result in suspension or termination of membership.
-
Serious breaches, including tag sharing, unauthorised entry, aggressive behaviour, theft, vandalism or unsafe conduct, may result in immediate cancellation.
-
Members may be responsible for costs relating to damage, misuse of equipment, unauthorised access or call-out fees caused by rule breaches.
-
These rules are in place to protect your safety, our staff, our equipment and every member of the Fitness Matters Jimboomba community.
